Job Title:
Human Resources Coordinator

Location:
Costa Bahía Hotel, Guayanilla, Puerto Rico
(Supporting HR operations for AVC Boquerón)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Human Resources Coordinator to support our Human Resources operations at Costa Bahía Guayanilla while providing HR support to AVC Boquerón. This position serves as a key point of contact for employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, compliance, and daily HR operations.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment while supporting workforce management initiatives and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting initial screenings, and facilitating onboarding processes
Manage employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a positive employee experience
Maintain employee personnel files and HR records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Support employee relations initiatives and assist in addressing workplace concerns
Coordinate employee benefits administration, workers’ compensation documentation, and leave management processes
Assist with employee performance management, evaluations, and training initiatives
Maintain accurate employee data within HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems
Ensure compliance with employment laws, OSHA regulations, company policies, and HR best practices
Coordinate recruitment efforts through social media, job boards, ATS platforms, and community partnerships
Prepare HR reports, audits, compliance documentation, and workforce analytics
Support employee engagement initiatives and company culture programs
Collaborate with department leaders to support staffing and operational needs
Provide HR operational support to both Costa Bahía Guayanilla and AVC Boquerón locations

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources, recruiting, or administrative experience
Knowledge of employment and labor laws, OSHA standards, workers’ compensation procedures, and HR compliance requirements
Experience with HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems
Familiarity with ATS platforms and recruitment tools preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hospitality, hotel, resort, or multi-location operations preferred
Experience with systems such as ADP, Paychex, Kronos, Workday, Oracle HCM, Dayforce, or similar platforms preferred
Experience supporting employee relations and recruiting initiatives preferred
