Full Job Description

SmartTIX is an innovative, AI-powered ticket management platform designed specifically for the utility damage prevention industry. Built by locators, for locators, SmartTIX streamlines the 811 ticket process for utility locating companies, municipalities, public and private utilities, and one-call centers.

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead new business development efforts for our SaaS platform serving the 811 and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) industries. This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities, conducting virtual and in-person client meetings, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, and building strong relationships with utility companies, engineering firms, surveying companies, municipalities, and contractors.

The ideal candidate is a consultative sales professional with proven experience in B2B SaaS sales, CRM management, and closing complex deals. Experience selling software solutions to technical or infrastructure-related industries is highly preferred.

Essential Job Functions:

Drive new business growth through prospecting, networking, referrals, and outbound sales activities.
Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation through contract execution.
Conduct virtual demonstrations, presentations, and discovery meetings with prospective clients.
Develop and maintain relationships with decision-makers, executives, and operational leaders.
Identify client challenges and position software solutions that address business needs.
Create and execute strategic account plans to penetrate target markets.
Maintain an active sales pipeline and forecast revenue accurately.
Utilize Salesforce CRM to track activities, opportunities, client communications, and sales metrics.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to improve client acquisition and retention.
Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events as needed.
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.
5+ years of successful B2B sales experience.
3+ years of SaaS software sales experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing a full sales cycle and closing new business.
Strong virtual selling and presentation skills.
Experience conducting executive-level meetings and product demonstrations.
Proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling software solutions within the 811 One Call, utility locating, engineering, surveying, construction, GIS, or SUE industries.
Knowledge of utility damage prevention processes and infrastructure workflows.
Experience selling subscription-based software solutions.
Familiarity with government, municipal, utility, and engineering procurement processes.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Regularly engage in sitting, standing, or walking activities.
Occasionally handle lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items of varying weights.
Perform reaching, kneeling, crouching, bending, or twisting motions as needed.
Other physical requirements may arise depending on job tasks.
Work may be conducted at a desk or workstation situated in confined areas.
Experience moderate levels of noise indoors and outdoors.
Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends as required.
Ability to thrive in both team-oriented settings and independently, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.

Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions in a timely manner.
