Full Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Analytics Specialist is responsible for supporting the Business Development and Sales organizations through data-driven analysis, reporting, and business insights that drive revenue growth and profitability. This position analyzes sales performance, customer activity, pricing effectiveness, product mix, and market trends to provide actionable recommendations that support strategic decision-making. This position reports to the Director of Business Development. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Candidates must be able to commute to our McKinney, TX location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, maintain, and enhance analytics frameworks to monitor sales performance, business development activities, customer retention, revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion initiatives.
Analyze sales, customer, pricing, and ordering data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance gaps.
Translate complex data into actionable business insights and recommendations that support revenue growth, customer retention, and profitability improvement.
Conduct detailed analysis of customer performance, product mix, profitability, and market opportunities.
Develop and maintain performance reporting tools for Business Development and Sales leadership.
Monitor pipeline activity, sales productivity, customer acquisition efforts, and account performance against established objectives.
Support strategic planning initiatives through data analysis and reporting.
Partner with Procurement, Finance, and Business Development teams to support forecasting, annual planning, budgeting, and business growth initiatives.
Develop forecasting models utilizing historical sales data, market trends, customer activity, and pipeline information.
Conduct scenario planning and business analysis to support market expansion opportunities, strategic initiatives, and new product introductions.
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools utilizing Power BI, Excel, and other business intelligence platforms.
Provide leadership with timely visibility into sales performance, revenue trends, profitability, customer activity, and business development metrics.
Collaborate with Information Technology and other departments to improve reporting capabilities, data accessibility, and system performance.
Prepare reports, presentations, and executive summaries that communicate analytical findings in a clear and actionable manner.
Participate in Management Review meetings and other cross-functional meetings to communicate business performance and support company objectives.
Support the development and documentation of reporting procedures, metrics, and best practices to improve business visibility and decision-making.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Three to five years of experience in sales analysis, business analysis, market analytics, or a related field preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis tools.
Experience developing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information to various levels of the organization.
Experience working with ERP systems, CRM systems, reporting platforms, or business intelligence tools preferred.
Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
