Full Job Description

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a long-term contract with the Federal Government

In this position, you will act as the Government owner’s technical representative to advise on design and construction activities. Duties will include managing projects from the Government’s viewpoint from project assignment through close-out & occupancy with emphasis on cost, schedule, and quality control. Must be able to communicate effectively with project stakeholders and other team members. This job does not involve directly managing the construction – only managing the Government’s responsibilities for contributing design requirements, reviewing change order requests, and coordinating Government vendor activities.

Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture + 10 years of experience, or no degree + 24 years of related experience
Strong ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Experience in preparing written reports, correspondence, and maintaining records.
Experience in conducting meetings and briefing clients and management personnel.
Knowledge of construction practices and techniques
Ability to interpret engineering and architectural plans and specifications.
Ability to prepare schedules using MS Project
Experience creating cost estimates, tracking funds, and writing scope documents
Experience with pre-planning, programming, design review, procurement support, and overall project management activities.

Preferred qualifications:

Government experience, either as a federal employee or private contractor
