Our Advisors uncover opportunities to identify the appropriate coverage and carrier partners for new clients through consistent prospecting activity, community engagement, and timely response to referrals. We rely on our Advisors to build and nurture new relationships, educate new clients, and collaborate with our internal underwriting, risk management, and service teams to create a well-rounded partnership in risk management. The ideal candidate for this role will approach the position with focus, energy, urgency, effective management of quickly shifting priorities, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a warm, welcoming demeanor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Target and secure personal lines property and casualty accounts according to goals established by Manager, meeting or exceeding established sales targets.
Maintain a closing ratio of 25% or better.
Obtain proposals using established internal protocols, including entry of all prospect information into agency management system.
Respond to referrals from external clients and internal personnel with urgency and efficiency.
Generate opportunities for our Benefits and Commercial teams and provide referrals to appropriate personnel.
Promptly refer account maintenance items to appropriate member of the service team through established protocols.
Document all prospect and client contact in agency management system.
Assist clients with new claims when Claims Advocate is not available, submitting loss notices when appropriate.
Serve as agent on call periodically for client claim calls outside normal business hours.
Participate in all required training and educational functions.
Keep informed of the insurance industry through independent study, continuing education, and agency resources.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent
2 years personal lines insurance experience desired
Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.
Pennsylvania Property and Casualty Insurance License
Maintain a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License and have reliable transportation
