Full Job Description

This Large full service 36 year Farmers Insurance Agency needs an experienced Spanish/English speaking Agent to do Account Reviews, Rewriting and Selling Additional Policies to its over 5,000 Homeowner Insurance clients. As well as selling Homeowners insurance to high quality warm transfer leads.

This is an in-office position working closely with a team of 10 staff. Policies to cross-sell into our Homeowner Insurance households include but are not limited to:

Auto, including not just Farmers but also Progressive, Mercury and Bristol West
Life, Annuities and setting appointments for Financial Services
Businesses of all kinds
Specialty for Rental Properties, Motorcycles, Recreational Vehicles
Earthquake, Flood, Floaters, Etcetera

Pay is hourly plus commission. Hourly is $24 plus commission is variable up to 75% of what the agency makes.

Qualifications

Speaks Spanish and English
Insurance Licensed for Life and P&C
Able to cross-sell Life Insurance and other Insurance to our large client base.
Flexibility to work on Saturdays as required
3+ years of experience working in the insurance industry
Strong attention to detail to ensure the accurate collection of information and entry into databases
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proven customer service or customer cross sell experience
Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Communication skills like a pleasant demeanor and ability to work with multiple personalities
Attention to detail to be able to provide written communication to customers that free of spelling or grammatical errors
Patience to be able to stay calm in an intense environment
Ability to multitask since some tasks will require to communicate with multiple clients or others at one time
Strong organizational skills to be able to keep up with various client needs and conduct follow-ups in a timely manner
Adaptability and flexibility in order to deal with different clients and needs in a short period of time
Typing speed: 40 wpm

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

Identify and assess client’s’ needs to achieve satisfaction and cross selling additional coverages.
Build sustainable relationships and trust with clients through open and interactive communication
Cross selling additional lines of business.
Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
Meet personal/team targets and quotas
Handle entry-level client complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
Take the extra mile to engage customers
Manage large amounts of incoming calls
Able to cross sell from our pool of current customers
Generate sales leads, glowing customer reviews and referrals from existing customers you are servicing
Able to work a follow up system and not allow things to fall through the cracks
Call clients regarding any underwriting notifications issued by the company, and follow procedure on how to retain the client’s policy(ies) within the agency
Serve as the liaison for underwriters and customers in order to track, manage, and prioritize insurance applications and other services
Document and communicate policy approvals or rejections to the underwriting team, insurance agents, supervisors, and clients in a timely manner
Correspond with prospects and clients via phone, email and in person to collect and analyze insurance information that facilitates the risk assessment process and provides underwriting support
Supporting the underwriting process by performing various tasks, such as collecting and verifying data, preparing and reviewing documents, communicating with clients and agents, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. An underwriting coordinator will also handle administrative duties, such as scheduling, filing, and reporting. An underwriting coordinator may also assist in making underwriting recommendations.
Supports the Operations Manager to help her stay organized and completes tasks that allow her to focus on more advanced responsibilities includes organizing meetings, greeting office visitors and composing documents among many others..
