Full Job Description

Specific Duties:

Provide direct job coaching services to individuals employed within the vocational program.
Assist individuals in learning job duties, workplace expectations, social skills, communication techniques, and appropriate work habits.
Monitor individual job performance and provide support necessary to promote successful employment outcomes.
Ensure individuals are treated with respect and provided opportunities to maximize independence and personal choice.
Accurately complete and maintain all daily documentation for Individuals in the program ensuring it is done in a timely manner and prior to leaving shift.
Maintain, review, and monitor client timesheets to ensure hours worked are accurate, properly documented, and submitted timely to support correct payroll processing.
Immediately report discrepancies involving attendance, payroll, work schedules, incidents, or employment concerns to management.
Provide transportation and community support services as assigned for individuals that work in the community.
Assist individuals in developing independent living, social, and community participation skills.
Assist with daily living activities, meal preparation, household responsibilities, recreational activities, and other support needs as assigned.
Attend required staff meetings, trainings, certifications, and professional development opportunities.
Follow all facility policies and procedures regarding confidentiality, safety, documentation, transportation, and client rights.
Demonstrate flexibility in work assignments, locations, and scheduling to meet facility and client needs.
Assist with special projects, community activities, and facility events as requested.
Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of supported employment principles and person-centered services.

Ability to effectively teach, coach, mentor, and motivate individuals with varying abilities and support needs.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain accurate documentation and organize multiple responsibilities.
Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and accountability.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with employers, coworkers, clients, and community members.
Knowledge of basic computer programs and electronic documentation systems

Education, Training, Experience, and Working Conditions:

High School Diploma or GED required preferred, but not required.

Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.

Experience in supported employment, vocational rehabilitation, direct support services, or human services preferred.

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred.

Must meet facility requirements for transportation, background screening, and training.

Work is performed in community employment sites, residential settings, agency locations, and various community environments.

Position may require standing, walking, bending, lifting, transporting individuals, and assisting with physical activities.

Evening, weekend, holiday, and emergency coverage may be required based on program needs.

Mandatory overtime may be required when necessary to ensure adequate staffing, client safety, and continuity of services.
