Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate HTS (Home and Community-Based Support) professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve. This role involves working closely with clients in their home and community settings, ensuring they receive the assistance they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans.
Facilitate social interactions and community engagement opportunities for clients.
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
Document progress and report any changes in client behavior or health status.

Experience

Previous experience in home community care or direct support roles is preferred.
Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism.
Knowledge of behavioral health principles and behavior management techniques.
Experience in special education or related fields is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A commitment to promoting independence and dignity for all individuals served.
