Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will support immigration law practices by preparing and reviewing legal documents, managing case files, and assisting with client communications. Your proactive approach and organizational skills will help ensure smooth case progression and compliance with immigration regulations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal expertise within a collaborative environment committed to excellence and client service.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in preparing immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation for various visa categories and immigration processes
Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and stay current on immigration laws and policies
Manage case files efficiently using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date
Interview clients to gather essential information, verify details, and clarify documentation requirements for immigration cases
Draft legal documents including affidavits, cover letters, and correspondence with government agencies
Review legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Coordinate with clients, government agencies, and external partners to facilitate case progress and ensure timely submissions

Requirements

Paralegal experience in immigration law or related legal fields such as family law, employment law, or tribal law & regulations
Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis, Westlaw, or similar legal research platforms
Familiarity with legal case management software including iManage and PCLaw
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to draft clear, precise legal documents with strong proofreading and writing skills
Experience conducting client interviews effectively while maintaining professional phone etiquette
Knowledge of UCC law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, patent law or environmental law is a plus but not required
Ability to perform data entry, document review, filing, and administrative tasks efficiently within a busy law office setting
Strong attention to detail combined with excellent organizational skills to support litigation processes and document management
