Territory Manager

Glendale, AZ | Hybrid | Full-Time | Exempt

Reports To: Regional Sales Manager

Competencies

Responsibilities (Include but not limited to):

Manage a large portfolio of existing accounts within the designated sales territory.
Proactively contact current and prospective customers to build and maintain relationships, develop trust, provide excellent customer service, identify and convert opportunities to sales, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of territory health, geography, and sales trends.
Prepare detailed call reports based on customer interactions.
Maintain accurate and timely sales and bid contact information within the 365 system Software.
Foster strong relationships with Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and Operations Management through hybrid work at the local plant.
Be aware of and understand competition and market trends as related to territory and industry.

Skill in:

Microsoft Office Programs
Oral and written communication
Handling pressure
Mathematics, such as addition and subtraction of fractions and decimals as well as unit conversions

Ability to:

Organize your work schedules.
Influence others (advise, persuade, negotiate, etc.).
Deal with frustrating situations.
Prepare and electronically submit reports.
Provide quick reaction and immediate response to required situations.
Problem Solving.
Workforce Planning.
Conflict Resolution.

Work environment (While at plant locations and some customer sites)

Excessive Noise
Extreme Hot and Cold Temperatures

Different Atmospheric Conditions that depend on specific area to be worked in

Worker may be exposed to:

Hazardous materials, Bleach, caustic, HCl and chlorine gas
Outdoor weather conditions
Work irregular hours as required by ongoing customer/sales needs

Traveling (As needed for business needs up to 90%)

Lifting regularly
Travel to other plants and customers are required based on business needs

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree Preferred
3-5 years outside sales experience in Industrial and/or Chemical Sales Preferred
Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software Required
Periodic travel to corporate headquarters and locations outside the assigned territory
Overnight travel required, depending on territory demands
Reliable transportation required; position involves approximately 70% travel
Weekly on-site plant visits to the Glendale, AZ manufacturing facility
Candidate to reside in the Glendale, AZ metropolitan area Preference
