Full Job Description

The Lessons Coordinator manages all administrative aspects of the store's music lesson programs, including scheduling lessons and instructors, handling student registration and communication, processing payments, and coordinating recitals and events. Key duties involve maintaining accurate student and instructor records, resolving customer issues, promoting lesson programs, and ensuring smooth operation of the lesson academy by fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and teachers.

Key Responsibilities

Student and Instructor Management: Recruit, hire, and manage instructors; match students with appropriate teachers; maintain accurate student and instructor records.
Scheduling & Administration: Coordinate and schedule lessons, manage cancellations, and maintain the lesson schedule in the store's software.
Customer Service: Serve as the main point of contact for students, parents, and instructors, addressing inquiries, problems, and complaints.
Financial Management: Process lesson payments, administer teacher pay, and manage overdue accounts.
Program Promotion: Promote lesson programs and coordinate special events, recitals, and other student-focused activities.
Communication: Maintain open and consistent communication with students, parents, and teachers regarding progress, schedules, and events.

Required Skills

Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage schedules, records, and multiple tasks simultaneously.
Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with customers, staff, and students.
Customer Service: Ability to build rapport, handle complaints, and create a positive experience for students and their families.
Leadership: Ability to lead and supervise instructors effectively.
Administrative Skills: Proficiency in administrative tasks such as data entry, record-keeping, and managing billing.
Music Knowledge: Basic understanding of music theory and pedagogy.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with lesson scheduling software.

Work Environment & Schedule

Requires availability on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
The role often involves working in a fast-paced retail environment.
May involve some retail duties, such as assisting customers with merchandise.
Should be able to lift/carry up to 25lbs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
