EAH is owned and supported by Cortec Group, a premier private equity firm. Cortec has invested millions of dollars to expand EAH’s operations, facilities, technology, and leadership. Among other investments, EAH has recently completed a significant facility expansion at its primary distribution center and is in the process of implementing enterprise-level ERP / WMS / OMS systems.
EAH is now seeking to strengthen the organization with a Junior Accountant as the business continues to scale. This position will be located at EAH's headquarters in Wadsworth, Ohio (in-office position) and reports to the Controller.
Position Summary
EAH is seeking a Junior Accountant to support the accounting department's day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to grow, and has a foundational understanding of accounting principles. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, this role will assist with transaction processing, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance in a fast-paced distribution and eCommerce environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to develop their skills within a growing, private equity-backed organization.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting

Prepare and post journal entries for monthly and quarterly accounting activities.

Assist with month-end close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.

Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper coding

Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

Support the reconciliation of sub-ledgers to the general ledger
Compliance and Controls

Maintain supporting documentation for internal and external audits.

Assist in implementing and monitoring accounting policies and internal controls.

Support sales and use tax filings and related reconciliations.

Reconcile sales tax information across financial systems and Avalara.
Reporting and Analysis

Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports.

Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to accounting leadership.

Assist internal stakeholders with financial reporting requests.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

0–2 years of accounting experience, including internships.

Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:

Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Great Plains.

CPA candidate or intention to pursue CPA certification.

Familiarity with eCommerce, distribution, or inventory-based businesses.
