What we need:

We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of Customer Service Assistant 2 - 20060885 within the Division of Wildlife, headquartered at the Akron Wildlife District Office. The address is 912 Portage Lakes Dr. Akron, Ohio 44319 in Summit County.

What you will do…

Answer incoming phone calls and provide a high level of customer service as part of the 1-800-WILDLIFE Call Center
Complete sales to walk in customers
Complete administrative tasks for District Operations
Coordinate and plan events, trainings, and meetings hosted in the office
Complete public requests for educational, permitting, and promotional items that advance wildlife participation
Starting hourly pay of $23.65/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 5.5 years of service, with an end salary of $28.76/hr
There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the OCSEA pay range schedule & longevity rates OCSEA Employees | Department of Administrative Services

Qualifications

9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in office practices & procedures AND 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in public relations or customer service that included techniques for handling difficult people AND 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in typing, keyboarding, data entry or word processing AND 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in operation of personal computer.

Or equivalent of Minimum Qualifications for Employment noted above.
