We've delivered more than 2,500 single-family homes, townhomes, and villas across ten counties, earning a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction. As we continue to grow our portfolio of distinguished neighborhoods and "Build on Your Lot" programs, we're seeking a CAD Drafter/Designer to support our expanding team. Join us in building not just homes, but lasting legacies!

Responsibilities

Develop detailed construction drawings from preliminary designs.

Develop standard plans database.

Modify standard plans.

Contact trades and send plans and details for quotation.

Create detailed material take-offs from preliminary plans and final construction drawings.

Develop material lists; lumber, windows, doors, etc.

Check vendor material lists for accuracy.

Complete structural framing plans.

Review truss plans/profiles and pre-engineered floor system plans. Revise and coordinate with construction drawings.

Meet with field personnel to review/revise plans.

Handle field questions from carpenters, superintendents, etc., via phone or on-site visits.

Assemble construction “Start Packages”; prints, topos, material lists, cabinet layouts, etc.

Develop and continually update standard details manual consisting of digital photos, detail construction drawings along with shop drawings and material list.

Develop designs of “concept” or “preliminary” sales plans.

Meet with sales/marketing staff and assist in new product development.

Value engineering: develop cost efficient designs and construction drawings.

Meet established deadlines.

Provide inter-departmental support to sales/marketing, design center, production, estimating as required by company procedures.

Proactively participate in department and inter-department meetings.

Maintain updated process map manual and follow its’ procedures.

Maintain and update department procedures/checklists manual and computer file.

Contact/Communicate with building departments and governmental officials as required.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

AutoCAD

Time management

General computer skills Organizational skills

Take-off/estimating

Independence

2D/3D vision

DIPLOMAS, DEGREES, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Undergraduate Degree

Construction related Degree

Architectural/Structural related Degree

Truss Design/Experience

Rough Framing/Carpentry Experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.24 - $31.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
