Compensation & Benefits
- Mizak & Pacetti, LLC Of Counsel — Domestic Relations Attorney Parma, Ohio
About the Firm
Mizak & Pacetti, LLC is a growing general-practice law firm headquartered in Parma, Ohio, serving clients across southwest Cuyahoga County. Our attorneys handle personal injury, criminal defense, civil litigation, landlord-tenant, business and cyber law, estate planning and administration, and domestic relations matters. We're building a firm-referred client base with strong local roots and a growing reputation across the region.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Domestic Relations attorney to join our firm in an of counsel capacity. This is an independent-contractor arrangement, not a salaried employee position — you will maintain your own practice while handling domestic relations matters referred through the firm, with the flexibility to also bring your own client base under the same arrangement.
This role is ideal for an attorney who wants the steady flow of client referrals and administrative support of an established firm, without the overhead or scheduling constraints of a traditional associate position.
What You'll Do
- Handle divorce, dissolution, child custody and support, spousal support, and post-decree modification matters
- Represent clients in Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court and related proceedings
- Conduct client intake, case strategy, and negotiation for domestic relations matters referred by the firm
- Collaborate with firm leadership on case status and revenue reporting (see Compensation below)
- Maintain your own client relationships and billing practices consistent with the firm's revenue-sharing structure
What We're Looking For
- Active license to practice law in Ohio, in good standing
- Demonstrated experience handling domestic relations matters in Ohio courts, including Cuyahoga County
- Ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal day-to-day supervision
- Strong communication skills for client-facing work under time-sensitive circumstances
- Comfort working within a revenue-share, of counsel structure rather than a fixed-salary arrangement
Compensation Structure
This is an of counsel position
We will discuss minimum monthly reporting expectations and case-source tracking as part of the of counsel agreement, so that referral-based and self-originated matters are clearly documented from the outset.
Why Mizak & Pacetti
- Flexible, independent structure — no fixed hours or salary cap
- Access to a growing, firm-referred client pipeline in an underserved domestic relations market
- Collaborative relationship with firm leadership and support staff for intake and scheduling
- Opportunity to grow your own practice alongside firm-referred work
Mizak & Pacetti, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
