Legacy Funeral Administrative Memorial Coordinator Job Description

General Description:

Legacy Funeral Homes is a compassionate and family-focused funeral service provider committed to honoring every life with dignity and care. We are seeking an exceptionally organized, detail-oriented professional to coordinate the personalized details that make every memorial service unique. This position serves as the communication link between our funeral directors, families, and our design team, ensuring every printed piece, keepsake, display, and tribute is completed accurately and on time.

If you're someone who loves organization, enjoys helping people during meaningful moments, and has a creative eye for presentation, we'd love to meet you. Schedule is primarily Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm. Occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays are required based on services and special events.

What You'll Do

Every family is different, and every service is unique. Your responsibility is to coordinate the countless details that transform ideas into meaningful memorials.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinate memorial printing, programs, prayer cards, bookmarks, posters, tribute videos, and custom keepsakes.
Communicate directly with families to collect photos, music, biographies, and personalization details.
Coordinate with funeral directors to ensure every service reflects the family's wishes.
Work with our graphic designer to review proofs, request revisions, and ensure accuracy before printing.
Track deadlines and follow up with families to obtain missing information.
Professionally communicate firm deadlines while maintaining compassion and excellent customer service.
Pick up completed printing from vendors and distribute materials to the appropriate funeral home.
Prepare framed portraits, easels, memorial displays, and reception materials.
Download, organize, and prepare music and tribute media on USB drives and presentation systems.
Learn equipment such as Cricut machines, vinyl cutters, specialty printers, and other creative production tools.
Assist with creating memorial displays, reception décor, centerpieces, balloon arrangements, signage, and other personalized touches.
Maintain organized inventory of printing supplies, display items, décor, frames, easels, and memorial materials.
Develop and improve organizational systems and workflows that help our team operate efficiently.
Ensure every detail is completed accurately and delivered on time.
Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate staff members or take accurate messages and gather callback information for staff as a back up
Welcome visitors to the Funeral Home in a professional and compassionate manner
General office supply ordering and stocking
Office and Funeral Home cleaning as needed or directed
If hired, employee must be willing to remove piercings and/or cover tattoos while working.
Must wear professional dress

Experience in one or more of the following is helpful, but not required:

Cricut or vinyl cutting
Microsoft Office
Adobe Acrobat
Photo editing or basic design software
A copy of your driving record will be required from candidate prior to hiring
