Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing a warm and professional welcome
Answer and manage a multi-line phone system; direct calls appropriately and take detailed messages
Schedule and confirm patient appointments with a focus on maximizing provider production and maintaining an efficient recall system
Greet and check in patients, verify insurance benefits, and collect co-pays and necessary documentation
Dismiss patients with follow-up appointments and ensure they understand their treatment plan
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and reception area
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the day
Promote a positive and friendly atmosphere for patients, staff, and visitors

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dental office is required
Technical or College Degree in Dental Assisting is required
Proficient in dental practice management software and general computer systems
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to smile often and maintain a warm, welcoming demeanor
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English
Exceptional customer service mindset with the ability to remain calm and professional in a busy, fast-paced environment
The ability to type and generate official letters and documents
