Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to lead and oversee daily hotel operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. The AGM will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing hospitality teams, and maintaining operational excellence across all departments. This energetic leadership position requires a proactive approach to team management, financial oversight, and customer service standards, all while fostering a positive and motivating work environment. The ideal candidate will be multilingual or bilingual, possess strong hospitality management skills, and have a proven track record in supervising teams within the hotel industry.

Duties

Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth coordination between departments such as front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance
Supervise and motivate hospitality teams to deliver outstanding guest services aligned with property standards
Manage hospitality operations budgets, including revenue management, cost control, and financial planning to maximize profitability
Implement and uphold hotel guest service standards to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and positive reviews
Utilize property management systems (PMS) and hospitality reservation systems to optimize booking processes and guest data management
Handle managerial communication effectively across departments to ensure operational consistency and team cohesion
Oversee human resources functions including staffing, training, performance evaluations, and maintaining a positive work environment
Maintain excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring memorable experiences
Monitor hotel guest relations through multi-line phone systems, phone etiquette training, and personalized guest interactions
Manage hospitality operations budgets with precision, including financial operations related to revenue streams and expense control

Requirements

Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles with supervising experience in overseeing daily hotel operations
Strong knowledge of hospitality management practices, including revenue management, budgeting, and financial operations
Proficiency with property management systems (PMS), hospitality reservation systems, and multi-line phone systems
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional managerial communication skills coupled with strong customer service orientation
Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse guests and staff
Experience in managing hospitality teams within a hotel setting with a focus on guest services standards
Knowledge of human resources practices related to staffing, training, and employee engagement
Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of hotel operations
