Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Admissions Assistant, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for patients and staff alike. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact, guiding patients through the admission process with professionalism and care. Your attention to detail and knowledge of medical administrative procedures will ensure smooth operations within our healthcare facility, contributing to positive patient experiences and compliance with health regulations.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing clear guidance through the admissions process
Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and personal data
Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems to accurately document patient information and appointments
Assist with scheduling appointments, follow-ups, and coordinating with medical staff to optimize patient flow
Ensure compliance with health regulation policies and confidentiality standards at all times
Support medical administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and insurance claims processing
Maintain organized records of patient admissions, discharge summaries, and related documentation

Qualifications

Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare administrative support preferred
Knowledge of health regulation policies and compliance standards within healthcare environments
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) management systems
Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes related to healthcare billing
Previous office experience demonstrating organizational skills and attention to detail
Dental office experience is a plus but not required
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
