Overview

Join our dynamic property management team as an Assistant Property Manager, where you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of residential communities. This energetic position offers the opportunity to collaborate with leasing agents, maintenance teams, and residents to ensure smooth property functioning and exceptional customer service. You will assist in lease administration, tenant relations, and property maintenance oversight, contributing to a positive living environment for residents and a thriving community for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing lease or rental agreement processes, including drafting, renewals, and terminations, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and legal standards.
Support property leasing efforts by coordinating showings, answering prospective tenant inquiries, and upselling available units to maximize occupancy.
Maintain accurate data entry within property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite, including resident records, rent payments, and maintenance requests.
Collaborate with property management teams to oversee property maintenance schedules, facilities management tasks, and vendor relations using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools.
Handle client communication professionally via phone and email, addressing concerns promptly while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Assist in budgeting activities by monitoring expenses and preparing reports to support financial planning efforts.
Support conflict management initiatives by mediating tenant disputes and ensuring adherence to lease agreements and legal requirements such as Landlord-Tenant Law and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations.

Skills

Proficiency with property management software including Yardi, OneSite, and property management tools such as CMMS.
Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-Tenant Law, Section 8 housing programs, and LIHTC compliance.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone etiquette and client relationship management techniques.
Experience in legal administrative tasks related to lease agreements, contracts, and rental documentation.
Demonstrated ability to manage conflict resolution situations professionally while maintaining positive resident relationships.
Skilled in office tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining organized records related to property management activities.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
Knowledge of property maintenance procedures, facilities management practices, and basic budgeting principles for real estate operations.
