Full Job Description

Director of Finance

DOCS Health is seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Finance to lead the company's financial operations, planning, reporting, compliance, and business analytics. This leader will work closely with the executive leadership team to drive financial performance, improve operational efficiency, and support the continued growth of a rapidly expanding healthcare services organization.

The ideal candidate is a strategic finance professional with experience in healthcare, government contracting, or multi-site service organizations who enjoys balancing financial strategy with day-to-day operational execution.

Required Qualifications

Active CPA certification required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
7+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience
Experience managing finance operations for organizations with revenues exceeding $100M preferred
Strong background in healthcare services, government contracting, defense, or multi-location operations preferred
Extensive experience with SAP ERP systems
Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and cash flow management
Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, audits, and financial compliance
Experience overseeing accounting, FP&A, treasury, and financial reporting functions
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
Experience with federal government contracts or military healthcare programs
Knowledge of DCAA, FAR, and government contract accounting
Experience supporting acquisitions, integration efforts, or rapid organizational growth

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership

Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that support organizational goals
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to improve business performance and support strategic decision-making
Deliver timely financial insights to senior leadership

Financial Planning & Analysis

Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
Develop financial models, KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting
Analyze profitability across business lines, contracts, and service offerings
Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions as needed

Accounting & Compliance

Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and financial reporting
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and internal financial controls

SAP & Financial Systems

Optimize SAP financial reporting and system functionality
Lead process improvement and financial system enhancement initiatives
Ensure financial data integrity and reporting accuracy

Cash Flow & Financial Management

Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance
Assist in treasury management and financial risk assessment
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team
Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Partner closely with Operations, Human Resources, IT, Business Development, and Executive Leadership to support organizational objectives
