Full Job Description

Job Posting: Staff Accountant

Location: Allentown, PA

Status: Full-Time | On-Site

Buckno Lisicky & Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are team players, eager to learn, and committed to delivering exceptional client service. Desire to obtain your CPA a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist with year-end closing processes, including gathering workpapers and reconciling general ledger accounts

· Prepare compiled and reviewed financial statements under supervision

· Support the creation and documentation of audit workpapers

· Prepare individual, business, and fiduciary income tax returns

· File miscellaneous tax returns, such as payroll and sales & use tax

· Build a foundational understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations

· Proactively communicate with clients to gather data, resolve issues, and offer recommendations

· Respond to client inquiries and requests in a professional manner

· Collaborate with team members and firm leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance

· Work toward passing the CPA exam in a timely manner

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Clear and effective written and verbal communication

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

· Eagerness to meet challenging client needs with professionalism

· Personable, ambitious, and ready to build a long-term career
