Company Overview

Founded in 1991, Particle Sciences is a Bethlehem, Pennsylvania–based pharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) with deep expertise in complex drug product formulation. Originally focused on particle engineering and nanotechnology, the company evolved into a recognized leader in solutions for poorly soluble and highly potent compounds, offering formulation development, analytical services, and cGMP clinical manufacturing. Today, Particle Sciences operates as a division of Agno Pharmaceuticals, continuing to serve pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients worldwide from its Bethlehem facility while building on more than three decades of scientific and technical excellence

Key Responsibilities

Perform calibration of instruments and equipment including pressure gauges, temperature devices, transmitters, balances, scales, flow meters, pH meters, and related instrumentation.
·Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities on manufacturing, packaging, utility, laboratory, and facility equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and instrumentation issues and implement repairs in a timely manner.
Document calibration and maintenance activities in accordance with GMP, SOP, and data integrity requirements.
Maintain calibration standards, tools, spare parts, and maintenance records.
Support investigations related to equipment failures, deviations, and nonconformances.
Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and startup activities.
Coordinate and oversee outside service vendors and contractors as needed.
Review and update maintenance procedures, calibration procedures, and equipment documentation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, safety, efficiency, and compliance.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Participate in on-call or off-shift support as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or trade certification preferred.
Calibration of temperature, pressure, flow, conductivity, pH, and weight instruments.
Mechanical maintenance and repair.
Basic electrical troubleshooting.
Pneumatic and process control systems knowledge.
Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment is preferred.
Understanding of GMP documentation practices and compliance expectations
Minimum of 2–5 years of maintenance and/or calibration experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food, or other regulated industries preferred.
Working knowledge of calibration standards and instrumentation principles.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
Familiarity with CMMS systems and electronic documentation systems preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience with aseptic processing, cleanrooms, HVAC systems, purified water systems, autoclaves, lyophilizers, or packaging equipment.
Knowledge of FDA cGMP requirements and regulated manufacturing operations.
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
