Overview

The Center for Integrated Behavioral Health is seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing team. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming, supportive, and professional environment while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of our practice.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are passionate about providing exceptional customer service. Whether you're looking to build a career in healthcare, behavioral health, or administration, or you're a student seeking valuable real-world experience, this role offers the opportunity to work alongside psychologists, counselors, and other behavioral health professionals while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.

Responsibilities

Welcome clients, visitors, and vendors with professionalism, warmth, and compassion.
Answer and manage a phone system while providing outstanding customer service.
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
Coordinate provider schedules and communicate appointment updates with clients.
Process client payments and maintain accurate financial records.
Respond to emails, voicemails, and client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain accurate client records while ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
Prepare and organize paperwork for upcoming appointments.
Collaborate with clinicians and administrative staff to support daily office operations.
Assist with general office tasks including filing, scanning, copying, organizing supplies, and other administrative duties.

Qualifications & Skills

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Comfortable learning electronic health record (EHR) systems and office technology.
Professional phone etiquette and confidence managing phone lines.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in customer service, administrative support, medical reception, or healthcare is preferred but not required.
Experience with scheduling software or electronic health records is a plus.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Current students or graduates pursuing psychology, counseling, social work, healthcare administration, public health, or related fields are encouraged to apply; however, applicants from all backgrounds with strong customer service and organizational skills are welcome.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
