Full Job Description

The Eye Clinic, Inc is a private practice serving our community for over 50 years. Our number one priority is delivering the highest quality patient care with compassion and kindness.

Only experienced ophthalmic assistants will be considered.

Pay is based on years of experience and skill level.

Candidates should have no less than 6 months experience working in the field of ophthalmology or optometry, the ability to succeed in a fast paced environment, and enjoy patient advocacy, as well as team work. Professionalism, empathy and compassion for patients, as well as exceptional intrapersonal skills are required.

***Applicants must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license as some travel between offices is required ***

Responsibilities include:

Accurately and efficiently performing/obtaining:

chief complaint, history of present illness,
visual acuity
neutralization of glasses prescription
manifest refraction
auto refraction
assessment of pupils, confrontation fields, and anterior chamber depth
scribing
A-scans
visual field, fundus photography, OCT, topography, and pachymetry testing,
applanation, tonopen and/or Icare tonometry
assisting in minor in office surgeries, sterilization of surgical instruments

Must have the following to perform the job:

Adequate visual acuity
Adequate hearing
Clear speech
Hand/finger dexterity
Ability to stand, sit, and be mobile for up to 8 hours
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
