Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Front Office Medical professional to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, medical office experience, and a passion for delivering excellent patient service. This role involves managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, verifying insurance, and supporting clinical staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Duties

Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy.
Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorization, and handle billing processes using medical billing software such as Practice Fusion, Availity and insurance portals.
Maintain accurate medical records and electronic health records (EHR) systems including Practice Fusion.
Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical history and updating demographic information.
Support clinical staff by preparing documentation reviews, coding procedures with CPT, ICD-9/10 codes, and ensuring proper care plan documentation.
Manage office supplies, and ensure a clean, organized front desk environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a medical office setting with familiarity in clinic operations and front desk responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of health insurance verification processes and medical billing procedures.
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems
Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and Medicare guidelines.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; and Excel.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
