Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Service Technician Manager to lead a high-performing service team supporting critical infrastructure environments. This role is responsible for overseeing field service operations, ensuring uptime, and driving safety, quality, and customer satisfaction in mission critical facilities.
This position will lead, train, and oversee a team of technicians (as well as perform the same tasks) who maintain, repair, and service critical power generation equipment such as generators, turbines, and related systems. The role blends technical expertise with leadership, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operation.
This position will direct all service delivery, logistics, and service performance across multiple client locations throughout the United States. The Service Manager is accountable for building scalable systems, and ensuring operational discipline across warranty service, preventive maintenance, and emergency repair programs. This individual must embody the company’s core values and lead by example—creating a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement in every location.

· Oversee daily operations of service technicians, ensuring timely and efficient completion of maintenance and repair task

· Diagnose complex generator and turbine issues, provide technical guidance, and ensure work meets engineering and safety standards
· Supervise and mentor technicians to enhance technical skills, safety awareness, and professional growth
· Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation for all maintenance and repair activities.
In this position, you should have/know:
· Experience: Proven background in generator maintenance, repair, or related technical fields; often 3–5+ years in power generation or heavy equipment service
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or Operations Management required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
· Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, schematics, and blueprints for generators and turbines
· Strong technical understanding of diesel generator systems, switchgear, and mission-critical power systems.
· Experience deploying and optimizing FSM/ERP/CRM platforms (e.g., Commusoft, Service Fusion, Joblogic, NetSuite, HubSpot).
· Leadership: Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
· Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities for complex technical issues
· Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and customer interactions
· Safety Focus: Commitment to safety standards and compliance with regulatory requirements
· Proven success managing site, P&L responsibility and demonstrated ability to scale processes across locations.
You will need:
· Experience coordinating multiple technicians on active job sites.
· Salary will be based on experience, project scope, and similar roles in the market and region.
