The Batch Maker Level 1 will batch as directed and assist with the departmental objectives concerning the various batching processes of RM Lucas. The Batch Maker Level 1 ensures batching activities complies with Safety, Quality, Production, and housekeeping specifications. The Batch Maker Level 1 may communicate information to trainees as directed by the Department Lead and/or Management.
- Expertise in visually inspecting and accepting formulations based on requirements.

Successful batching of all formulations on all mixers more than 20 times per.

Designated buddy trainer.

Competence in troubleshooting and preventing potential batch deviations.

Training and assistance in PIT operations as assigned.

Expert on multiple mixers and/or product groups

Education/Experience:

Minimum experience working in a manufacturing and/or trades

High school diploma/ GED required.
Language Ability:

Read and write English effectively.
Math Ability:

Fluent in basic math

Experience in accurate pouring weighing and measure of ingredients in pounds, grams and fluids.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to think on your feet, formulate completion plans, proactively surmount potential mistakes, and communicate timely and succinctly to management.
Computer Skills:
Certificates and Licenses:
- 5S and Lean Manufacturing experience desired.
Instructor Responsibilities:
- New employees as applicable and refresher training for current employees as needed.
Work Environment:

The plant environment will include working on elevated platforms or ladders at times, working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.

Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in production areas.
Physical Demands:

Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
Compensation & Benefit Information:
Hourly rate starting at $22/hour based on individual candidate experience, skill, education and/or qualifications.
