Full Job Description

Patient Services Representative – Dental

Location: (Insert Location) | Full-Time

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Patient Services Representative to support our dental operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring a smooth patient experience by managing scheduling, registration, and insurance-related processes while serving as a key liaison between patients and dental providers.

Key Responsibilities

Complete patient registration by collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information
Determine appropriate fees and collect patient payments accurately
Schedule and confirm patient appointments and manage incoming referrals
Verify dental codes and insurance coverage to ensure accurate billing
Serve as a liaison between dental students/providers and patients, ensuring clear communication and coordination
Provide appointment reminders and follow-up communications
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Prepare and reconcile daily payments, including handling deposits
Support front office operations with a strong focus on customer service and patient satisfaction

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a healthcare or dental setting (dental experience strongly preferred)
2+ years of customer service experience
Knowledge of third-party reimbursement and insurance processes
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Strong organizational, mathematical, and data entry skills

Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read, interpret, and explain insurance and billing information
Experience using office tools such as calculators, payment processing systems, and scheduling software

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
