Full Job Description

Position: Sr Category Manager

Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Sr Category Manager to join their team!

This is a high-impact direct hire opportunity for a strategic sourcing professional who thrives in a senior individual contributor role. You’ll own complex categories, lead sourcing initiatives from strategy through execution, and play a key role in driving measurable business value. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong supplier relationships, influencing stakeholders, and delivering smart commercial solutions across a broad spend portfolio.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Lead end-to-end sourcing and category strategy development
Manage commercial negotiations and contract execution
Build business cases and present recommendations to leadership
Oversee supplier performance and drive continuous improvement
Partner with stakeholders across multiple technical categories
Support procurement decisions with strong market and spend analysis
Deliver measurable value through strategic sourcing initiatives

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Experience in strategic category management or sourcing
Background supporting complex, technical spend categories
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Experience influencing senior stakeholders
Strong analytical and presentation capabilities
Ability to manage multiple categories and priorities

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

Midstream or oil and gas industry experience
Experience with integrity services, chemicals, or inspections
Exposure to E&I or industrial operations categories
Experience driving large spend initiatives
Prior success in a senior individual contributor role
