YSS is seeking energetic night owls to join our team as Part-Time Residential Overnight Float!
As a Float, you’ll provide essential overnight support across YSS’s Child Welfare Emergency Services (CWES) shelters and Residential Addiction Treatment programs. You’ll move between facilities throughout the evening, overnight, and morning hours, helping maintain safe and secure environments, supporting overnight staff, and assisting with the supervision and care of youth and residential clients.
You’ll work alongside a supportive team to create a safe, structured, and respectful environment where young people can feel supported and build confidence. You’ll help with daily routines, build meaningful connections, assist during challenging moments, and provide an extra set of hands wherever they’re needed most. This is an active, independent role—you’ll be moving between facilities, completing security and safety checks, communicating with overnight staff, and responding to needs as they arise.
Because you’re an overnight Float, you must remain awake, alert, and engaged for your entire shift.
