Centra Health is hiring in their Ground Transport Department!

Positions: Critical Care Paramedics

Schedule: Full Time, part time, variable shifts

Facility: Lynchburg General Hospital, Gretna Medical Center and Bedford Memorial Hospital

Location: Lynchburg, VA Gretna, VA and Bedford, VA

BONUS ELIGIBLE – $15K FOR FULL-TIME NIGHT SHIFT ONLY!!

Set in the heart of Central Virginia, Centra Health is a regional, nonprofit healthcare system including four hospitals, a network of medical centers, as well as various specialty and primary care practices located along the Blue Ridge. At Centra, providing excellence in patient care, utilizing the latest evidence-based research, and fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion are at the forefront of our belief system. Centra is home to the Central Virginia Center for Simulation and Virtual Learning, the only center in Virginia that offers a full range of simulation experiences.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
Virginia Paramedic certification required.
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support or recognized equivalent required for hire. AHA ACLS is required within 6 months of hire.
American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support or recognized equivalent required for hire. AHA PALS is required within 6 months of hire.
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR required or recognized equivalent required for hire. AHA BLS is required within 6 months of hire.
VAVRS or VDFP EVOC required
Hazardous Materials Awareness required within the first year of employment.
FEMA ICS 100, 200, and 700
Completed Centra’s Critical Care Transport Training program

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree in healthcare or related field
Previous pre-hospital EMS or transport experience
National registry paramedic preferred.
CCPC or FPC

Travel is expected to be between 10% and 25% of the time.
