Position Overview

At Uplift Behavior Services, our Caregiver Consultant plays a pivotal role in empowering families and executing high-impact Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions. Working under the direct clinical supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will serve as a bridge between clinical strategy and family empowerment.

This unique role offers a structured career progression path. Initially, you will lead a combination of direct client therapy sessions and caregiver consultation sessions. As you demonstrate clinical competency and build strong rapport with families, your role will transition away from regularly scheduled direct therapy to focus fully on caregiver consultation, coaching, and family guidance.

Role Transition Pathway

Phase 1 (Onboarding & Evaluation): Provide a hybrid schedule of direct ABA therapy sessions and caregiver consultation sessions. This allows leadership to observe clinical skill delivery, client engagement, and data collection firsthand.
Phase 2 (Growth & Specialization): Gradually transition away from direct intervention sessions to assume a dedicated, full-time Caregiver Consultant role—empowering caregivers to implement ABA strategies independently and effectively.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Execution & Direct Care (Initial Phase)

Deliver direct ABA therapy sessions per individual client intervention plans under BCBA supervision.
Implement targeted behavior intervention strategies to decrease challenging behaviors and facilitate skill acquisition/replacement behaviors.
Accurately collect and record real-time data regarding client performance and progress.
Prepare necessary clinical, educational, and session materials in advance.

Caregiver Coaching & Consultation

Conduct structured Caregiver Consultation sessions as directed by the supervising BCBA.
Educate, coach, and support caregivers in applying ABA principles and behavioral strategies in everyday home and community environments.
Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients and their families to foster collaboration and consistency in treatment.
Assist the BCBA in gathering observational data, assessment information, and progress metrics to refine client treatment plans.

Administrative & Professional Compliance

Complete, render, and submit daily session notes within required company timelines.
Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with clinical supervisors, administrative staff, and families.
Complete all required in-house training modules on time.
Adhere fully to all Uplift Behavior Services policies, procedural guidelines, and ethical standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support client success and operational needs.

Qualifications & Skill RequirementsCertifications & Education

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, or a related field required.
Certification: Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
BCBA/BCaBA Trainee Track: Active enrollment in BACB-approved coursework toward BCBA or BCaBA credentialing.
Supervision: Active assigned BCBA supervisor for both RBT maintenance and BCBA/BCaBA field hours.
Compliance & Health Clearances:
Current CPR / First Aid certification.
Negative Tuberculosis (TB) test result / clearance.
Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.

Specialized Knowledge & Competencies

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
Sound clinical judgment with a proactive approach to seeking supervisory input when necessary.
Proven ability to build meaningful rapport with families from diverse backgrounds.

Required In-House Training

(Provided upon hire)

Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) Training (through Maintenance Level)
Specialized Uplift Caregiver Consultant Training

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Work Settings: Sessions are conducted across clinical settings, office environments, and client homes. Adaptability to varied family home environments and dynamic client interactions is essential.
Physical Demands:
Capability to stand, sit on the floor, bend, stoop, and move dynamic distances for extended periods during therapy sessions.
Ability to safely lift and carry clinical or instructional materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
Excellent verbal communication and fine motor dexterity.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
