Customer Service Specialist / Optician

JINS Eyewear is dedicated to delivering exceptional eyewear and customer service in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals with a passion for optical sales to join our team at the Shops at Santa Anita in Arcadia, CA.

About Us: Founded in 2001, JINS is a Japan-based eyeglass retailer. Since its opening, the company has rapidly expanded to become a leader in the domestic eyewear industry, occupying over 20% of the Japanese eyeglass market. In about a decade, JINS expanded internationally, with over 800 stores in Japan, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

About the Position:

Location: Arcadia / Santa Anita Mall

Expected Hours: 40 per week

Start Date: Immediate

What you’ll do:

Greet and assist customers with a smile, making sure they leave with the perfect pair of glasses.
Communicate JINS values and brand philosophy to customers on the sales floor.
Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers in selecting eyewear.
Ensure every customer feels valued and supported, demonstrating a high level of professionalism
Stay up to date with JINS eyewear products to offer style advice and product recommendations.
Offer the best lens options that meet customer needs, ensuring the best vision solution for each individual.
Dispense and perform basic adjustments and fittings to ensure a comfortable and precise fit for eyewear to the customer.
Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized sales floor and environment.
Place accurate orders and process transactions through our POS system.
Assist with backstock organization and inventory management.
Help create eyewear that’s fast, accurate, and meets our high-quality standards.
Work with your teammates to maintain an inviting and visually appealing sales floor.
Problem-solve professionally with clients, addressing their concerns and finding appropriate solutions, always aiming to exceed their expectations.
Foster an inclusive and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications:

High school or equivalent (G.E.D) education
ABO Certification preferred
1 year of optical sales experience required.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
A positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
Strong communication skills (verbal & written), including strong relationship-building skills.
Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to be on your feet most of the day or moving on the sales floor or stock room
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts

Schedule:

8-hour shifts
Available to work day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays

Experience:

Sales: 1 year
Optical: 1 year

Bonus Skills:
