Opening: Temporary Office Manager
Location: Anchorage, AK
Pay: $23 - $28 DOE
We are seeking an organized, proactive, and professional to oversee the daily operations of a busy corporate office supporting Alaska's oil and gas industry. This is a highly visible role that serves as the backbone of the office, ensuring an efficient, welcoming, and productive work environment for employees, leadership, clients, and visitors.
The primary focus of this position is
office management. As the successful candidate becomes established in the role, they will have the opportunity to take on additional executive support, team coordination, and event management responsibilities while growing their skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Management (Primary Responsibility)
- Oversee the daily operations of the office, ensuring an organized, efficient, and professional work environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for office operations, facilities, vendors, and office-related inquiries.
- Coordinate office maintenance, repairs, technology support, workspace needs, and facility services.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, mail, shipping, and vendor relationships.
- Welcome visitors, oversee front-office activities, and coordinate conference room scheduling and meeting logistics.
- Maintain office security, company contact lists, internal communications, and the corporate event calendar.
- Ensure the office is clean, safe, well-stocked, and operating efficiently to support employees and leadership.
Executive & Team Support (Growth Opportunity)
As you become established in the Office Manager role, you'll have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities by supporting executive leadership and company operations. Additional duties may include:
- Manage executive calendars, meeting schedules, travel arrangements, expense reporting, and purchasing card documentation.
- Coordinate leadership meetings, prepare agendas and presentation materials, and provide meeting follow-up.
- Assist with company events, meetings, sponsorships, and community engagement activities, including vendor coordination, logistics, promotional materials, and branded merchandise.
- Support office communications, special projects, and administrative initiatives while handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in office management, office administration, or corporate administrative support.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple departments.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Experience coordinating vendors, facilities, and office operations.
Preferred:
- Previous experience supporting executive leadership.
- Event planning or corporate meeting coordination experience.
- Experience managing travel arrangements and executive calendars.
- Familiarity with office budgeting, purchasing, or vendor management.

Standard Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Important Notes:
This is an in-person position located in Anchorage, Alaska. Remote or hybrid work is not available. Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in Anchorage or the surrounding area. Applicants relocating to Alaska should include a cover letter outlining their relocation timeline, as relocation assistance is not available.
