Director of Operations & Client Experience

Executive Leadership Opportunity | Wichita, KS | Full-Time

Reports to: Managing Partner / CEO
Base Salary: $120,000–$150,000, depending on experience
Performance-Based Annual Bonus: Target 5%+, based on achievement of firm and individual performance goals
Total Compensation: Opportunity to exceed $165,000 based on performance

Gentry Private Wealth is an independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) managing approximately $350 million in client assets. We provide comprehensive financial planning and investment management for successful individuals, families, and business owners.

As our firm grows, we are building a leadership team that allows our advisors to focus on clients while experienced leaders develop people, improve systems, and create an exceptional client experience.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional operations position. The Director of Operations & Client Experience will serve as the firm's operational leader and strategic partner to the Managing Partner, with the opportunity to help shape the future of a growing independent wealth management firm.

This role is ideal for an experienced leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes, creating accountability, and turning strategic priorities into results. You will oversee people and office operations, client experience, vendor and technology coordination, recruiting and employee development, and execution of marketing and firm events.

We are looking for someone who is highly organized without becoming bureaucratic, communicates exceptionally well, and can think strategically while consistently executing. You will work directly with the firm's owner, influence strategic decisions, develop future leaders, and help build the infrastructure for our next stage of growth.

As the firm continues to expand, this position is expected to evolve into a senior executive leadership role with increasing responsibility and influence.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People

Partner with the Managing Partner to execute the firm's strategic priorities.
Lead weekly leadership meetings and track firm-wide initiatives.
Strengthen accountability, communication, and collaboration across teams.
Lead recruiting, onboarding, training, employee development, and engagement initiatives.
Manage the client service team and conduct performance reviews for designated staff and department leaders.

Client Experience & Operations

Maintain consistent service standards across the firm.
Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and the client experience.
Oversee day-to-day office operations, facilities, technology coordination, equipment, and key vendor relationships.
Resolve operational issues affecting employees or clients.

Marketing & Firm Events

Serve as the primary liaison to the firm's outsourced marketing partner.
Coordinate the annual marketing plan, calendars, budgets, and project timelines.
Lead execution of client appreciation events, educational seminars, referral events, and community outreach.

Qualifications

Required

10+ years of leadership experience
Experience leading and developing professional teams
Strong operational, organizational, and project-management skills
Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building abilities
Demonstrated ability to turn strategic priorities into results

Preferred

Experience in an RIA, wealth management, private banking, or other professional services environment
General understanding of wealth management, financial planning, and insurance
