SECTION I: JOB IDENTIFICATION

Job Title: Counselor Masters level BHT waiting to take test, LAC,LPC,LAMFT, LMFT, LMSW, LCSW

Our Agency

The Arizona Relationship Institute is a licensed counseling agency providing Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and EMDR to individuals, couples, families and groups. The AZRI team mission is “facilitating resilience through healing relationships”. All our therapists are trained in and or pursuing certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and EMDR. As a licensed facility, we are proud to serve clients who carry Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, as well as self-pay clients.

Our clients are high functioning professionals dealing with various life transitions and seeking to improve the quality of their lives. We specialize in treating relational distress within couples and families, infidelity, trauma, sexual difficulties, desire discrepancy, faith crises, and faith transitions, psychedelic assisted psychotherapy. We pride ourselves on being a safe-haven and secure base for clients and therapists of diverse populations.

Ideal Candidate

This position is best suited for a highly motivated BHT in process of associate license and associate licensed therapist who wants to learn how to be in private practice but does not want the hassle or stress of running your own practice yet (marketing, billing, scheduling, rent, etc.). It is also suitable for someone who prefers working as part of a collaborative team of therapists, rather than practicing in isolation.

Requirements:

You will be working under the direction of the clinical supervisors, and the office manager, Trish Martineau. This position requires an organized and professional individual, who also has personability and warmth. You must be willing to work within the constraints of agency regulations and insurance reimbursement with a positive attitude. A positive attitude and contribution to the overall morale within the practice is a must, and dedication to the team and the overall growth of the practice is vital.

This position also requires a strong work ethic and the ability to take pride in the quality of services you are providing. We are looking for someone who has a vision of what is possible and has the creativity, professionalism, and drive to bring that vision to fruition.

THERAPY
Provide therapy to individuals & couples (EFT and EMDR) preferred.
Must not practice independently outside of the agency in any capacity unless approved.
25 to 30 client hours per week (plus the additional time needed for case management, consultation & recordkeeping)
Willingness to work evenings or Saturday. At least three evenings, 5-9pm or on a Saturday 9am to 5pm.
Willingness to comply with documentation protocol necessary for receiving insurance reimbursement. Competency with documenting “medical necessity” in progress notes and treatment plans.
Completion of notes and other required documentation within 24 hours of completion of session.
Comfortable working with high status, high conflict couples

AREAS OF INTEREST/ SPECIALIZATION

Commitment to continuing education in EFT, EMDR, and trauma-informed care.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT):
Externship (or imminent plans to attend)
EFT psychoeducation is provided by office.
EMDR Level I & II Training (or imminent plans to attend)
Interest in:
Emotionally Focused Sex Therapy with a focus on treating female sexual difficulties.
Trauma informed care
Faith crises
LGBTQ population
Spirituality integration with diverse faith orientations.
assisting with facilitating Hold Me Tight workshops (not compensated unless facilitating)

EQUIPMENT

Must have a smartphone, laptop computer, and be comfortable with technology

Technical Proficiency

Using electronic management software for client records.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 products (outlook, word, excel, power point, etc)
Video recording sessions and reviewing therapists’ sessions
