Full Job Description

Owl has quickly become a world leader in Sprinter Van adventure accessories. To keep up with our rapidly growing demand we are in need of a full time Operator to join our manufacturing team. Quality is key so you have to care deeply about what you build; only the best gear leaves our shop.
We are looking for a team member that is excited, driven, and reliable. Due to our rapid growth, there is lots of opportunity for advancement, additional compensation, and simply the excitement of a successful outdoor company.

General Scope: Ability to operate and light setup on all types of CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Lasers and Press brakes. Experience with Haas and Doosan machines is a plus and other machinery such as bandsaw, forklift, Time savers and other manufacturing equipment.

Position Summary:

· Load tools in machine from setup sheet provided.

· Load program in machine control.

· Take test cut and measure before finish machining.

· Adjust machine settings, according to CAD models, if necessary.

· Check and change tooling.

· Adjust speeds and feeds as needed.

· Perform minor machine maintenance such as oil, filter and coolant levels, removal of chips from machine.

Education: Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge: must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

Knowledge of the Metric System/ Standard System.

Skills:

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

· Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

· Must be able to operate and read precise measuring instruments associated with the job.

· Must be able to operate material handling equipment associated with the job.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
