At Kiddie Academy of Apopka, we believe every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive. We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and motivated Preschool Director to lead our academy, inspire our team, and build strong relationships with our families and community.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proven early childhood education leader who is committed to operational excellence, staff development, and providing exceptional educational experiences.

Position Summary

The Preschool Director is responsible for the overall daily operation of the academy, ensuring compliance with all state licensing regulations, maintaining high educational standards, supporting enrollment growth, and fostering a positive culture for children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the daily operations of the academy while maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming environment.
Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate teaching staff.
Ensure compliance with all Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) licensing requirements and Kiddie Academy operational standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective families.
Manage enrollment, retention, and community outreach initiatives.
Monitor classroom quality and provide ongoing coaching and professional development.
Maintain accurate records, licensing documentation, and employee files.
Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and staffing to support business goals.
Partner with regional leadership to achieve enrollment, operational, and financial objectives.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.

Qualifications

Florida Director Credential required (or ability to obtain before employment begins).
Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a licensed early childhood education center.
Strong knowledge of Florida childcare licensing regulations and VPK requirements.
Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing teams.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technology-based administrative systems.
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Business, or a related field preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
