Location: Appleton, Wisconsin
Work Arrangement: Full-time / On-Site
Shifts: Second / Third / Weekend Day & Night Shifts
Compensation: $23 up to $32/hr

What You'll Do

At ATI, you'll have the opportunity to build a rewarding career in advanced manufacturing while producing critical aerospace components used in jet engines and other high-performance applications. Whether you join our team as a Machinist or an Ultrasonic Technician, you'll work alongside experienced professionals in a safety-focused environment, receive hands-on training, and develop valuable technical skills using industry-leading equipment.

As a Machinist, you'll learn to set up, operate, and monitor precision CNC machining equipment used to manufacture aerospace components from advanced super alloys.

As an Ultrasonic Technician, you'll use state-of-the-art water immersion ultrasonic testing equipment in a climate-controlled environment to inspect aerospace components and verify their integrity through nondestructive testing.

We are currently hiring for 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, Weekend Day Shift, and Weekend Night Shift, offering scheduling options designed to fit a variety of lifestyles while providing opportunities for overtime and career advancement.

CNC Machining or Manual Machining
Manufacturing or Production Operations
Machine Operation or Equipment Operation
Automotive, Diesel, or Heavy Equipment Repair
Maintenance Technician or Industrial Maintenance
Welding, Fabrication, or Metalworking
Quality Inspection or Quality Control
Nondestructive Testing (NDT), Inspection, or Metrology
Aviation, Aerospace, or Military Mechanical Maintenance
Tool & Die, Precision Manufacturing, or Assembly
Construction Trades, HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing
Military veterans with mechanical, technical, or maintenance experience
Recent graduates of technical schools, machining, manufacturing, welding, industrial maintenance, or engineering technology programs

Key Responsibilities May Include:

Machinist

Receive work instructions, operation sheets, setup sheets, and inspection documentation from department supervision.
Read and interpret blueprints, dimension drawings, sketches, setup sheets, and manufacturing instructions.
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machining centers while maintaining required dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes.
Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, and profilometers to verify product quality.
Load and unload materials and forgings using an overhead hoist while handling components with care throughout the machining process.
Work closely with Engineering and Programming teams to ensure machining operations meet production and quality requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Ultrasonic Technician

Perform water immersion ultrasonic testing setups, examinations, and inspections on aerospace components.
Prepare materials for inspection by cleaning, identifying, and setting up testing equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and ultrasonic scan procedures.
Examine products for internal and external defects and accurately document inspection results.
Evaluate inspection data to determine product acceptability in accordance with customer and industry specifications.
Operate advanced ultrasonic testing equipment while following established quality and safety procedures.
Troubleshoot inspection equipment, communicate quality concerns, and maintain accurate inspection records.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting production and quality goals.
