Full Job Description

Open Position: Metal Fabrication Technician

Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | Monday - Friday

Pay: $24.00

OVERVIEW:

The Metal Fabrication Technician is responsible for preparing and finishing stainless steel components by grinding, sanding, polishing, and operating fabrication equipment. This role ensures products meet quality standards, maintains a clean and safe work environment, and supports the engineering and warehouse teams with various production tasks to help meet daily production goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grinding down welds, sanding, and polishing on stainless steel rails to meet or exceed project and daily goals
Safely operating the tube bending machine and vertical saw, while adhering to all safety requirements
Keeping the work area clean and organized throughout the day and prior to leaving
Verifying dimensions and product specifications throughout the fabrication process to ensure quality control standards are met
Utilizing the automatic welder to complete parts before grinding/sanding stages
Reporting any product or machinery malfunctions
Assisting the Engineers with deburring and cleaning machined parts to meet standards before partial assembly
Participating in warehouse projects and tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED; 18 years of age or older
Previous experience in a Fabrication role, with demonstrable knowledge
Strong attention to detail and a positive work history with solid attendance
Ability to lift heavy objects (50-80lbs) and stand/walk for up to eight hours a day
Successful completion of a criminal background check.
