Position Summary
The Weddings & Events Sales Manager is responsible for generating revenue through weddings, social events, and related food, beverage, and guest room sales. This position develops and maintains strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal departments to ensure every event is flawlessly planned and executed—from the initial inquiry through the final farewell.
The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building lasting client relationships. Success in this role requires excellent communication, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to balance sales objectives with exceptional guest service.

Compensation
- Base salary: $45,000–$50,000 annually
- Monthly commission opportunities
- Total annual compensation typically exceeds $55,000, with high performers earning even more
Schedule
- Full-Time, Salaried position
- Approximately 45–50 hours per week
- Typical schedule is Tuesday through Saturday
- Flexibility is required based on weddings, special events, and business needs
- Evening, weekend, and occasional holiday availability is required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Promote the hotel, banquet facilities, meeting spaces, and catering services to prospective clients
- Generate new business through networking, referrals, community involvement, and proactive sales efforts
- Respond promptly to phone, email, and online inquiries
- Conduct property tours and client consultations
- Assist clients with event planning, menu selection, tastings, and event details
- Prepare proposals, contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs), booking reports, and related correspondence
- Grow banquet food & beverage revenue as well as associated guest room sales
- Coordinate event details with clients and internal departments to ensure seamless execution
- Work closely with the Sales Team, Front Desk, Food & Beverage, Convention Services, Banquet Kitchen, and Revenue Management teams
- Build and maintain relationships with wedding vendors and community partners
- Maintain an active presence on platforms such as WeddingWire, The Knot, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other marketing channels
- Participate in marketing initiatives, networking events, trade shows, workshops, and community organizations
- Follow up with clients after events to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Meet or exceed established sales and revenue goals
- Maintain accurate records and an organized work environment
- Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and exceptional guest service
- Follow all company policies and procedure
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience in hospitality sales, wedding sales, event planning, catering, hotel sales, or a related field preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred
- Proven success meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Wedding and/or event planning experience strongly preferred
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong organizational, time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, spreadsheets, CRM software, and event management systems
- Experience with Opera or other hotel property management systems preferred
- Familiarity with current wedding trends and the hospitality industry
- Knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms is a plus
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
