Our team develops scalable 1099 tax and withholding compliance processes for Walmart, ensuring accurate calculation, withholding, disbursement, and reporting of earnings. We play a vital role in regulatory compliance, tax accuracy, audit readiness, and continuous process improvement. By collaborating across functions, the team supports risk management and enhances operational efficiency. Members contribute to system enhancements, tax research, and compliance strategies, directly impacting company performance and stakeholder confidence. Execute and manage day-to-day tax operations for independent contractor earnings, including W-8 and W-9 validation, statutory withholding, tax remittance, and related regulatory processes.

Ensure processes are performed accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

Oversee high-volume Form 1099 information reporting workflows for IRS and state and local tax (SALT), including Forms 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, and 1042-S, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.

Maintain strong controls and audit-ready documentation supporting reporting and withholding activities.

Drive process improvements, enhance automation and data integrity, support regulatory changes, and mitigate risks through monitoring, defect resolution, and strengthened controls.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
