Job Title: Disability Access Consultant FLSA: Non -Exempt

Supervisor: Chief Operating Officer

Job Description:

The Disability Access Consultant will provide advocacy, support, and service coordination for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking who are living with disabilities. This position ensures equitable access to WCF’s services by assessing individual needs, coordinating accommodations, and advocating for survivor rights. The Disability Access Consultant will work collaboratively with navigators, survivors, their families, and community partners to reduce barriers, enhance safety, and support survivors’ healing and independence.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Conduct assessments to determine the unique needs of survivors with disabilities.
Assist Navigators with developing and implementing individualized advocacy and safety plans.
Provide crisis intervention, support, and referrals to accessible services.
Advocate for clients’ rights and equal access to community resources, medical care, housing, and victim services.
Coordinate with medical, mental health, legal, and disability service providers.
Facilitate survivor-centered workshops, trainings, or support groups focused on empowerment, accessibility, and violence prevention.
Assist survivors in accessing assistive technology, communication aids, and reasonable accommodations. Provide guidance and education to families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary partners.
Stay current on disability rights laws (ADA, Section 504, etc.) and best practices in victim advocacy.
Maintain records in Apricot and complete required reports to ensure compliance with grant requirements.
Participate in required training through the Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence and OVW-sponsored activities.
Other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Officer, and

UA Partners Project Director.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Services, Education, or related human services field.
Minimum of two years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, or related trauma.
Strong advocacy and case management skills.
Knowledge of disability rights, accessibility standards, and victim service best practices.
Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including survivors with complex needs.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Team player who works well with staff, volunteers, survivors, and community partners.

Hours: Full-time hourly, non-exempt (40 hours/week). Some evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required.

Training: All WCF employees must complete 18 hours of core domestic violence training

through the Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ACADV) and Forest of Hope

Family Peace Center Employee Training within nine months of hire. Thereafter, staff must

complete three hours of ACADV-approved ethics training every two years and ten hours

annually of continuing education.

Evaluation Schedule: Employees are evaluated annually on job performance and contributions

to WCF’s mission. Evaluations are used to establish goals, review performance, and determine

salary adjustments.

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
