Are You Ready to Help Build Something Exceptional?
Central Dentist isn't looking for someone who simply wants a job.
We're looking for a leader.
We are a growing, innovative dental practice with a big vision: to redefine what patients expect from dentistry and build a destination clinic centered around compassion, innovation, technology, education, and whole-health care.
We are looking for an exceptional Clinical Operations Lead — Patient Care & Team Performance who is ready to step into leadership, take ownership, develop people, improve systems, and help take a multimillion-dollar company to its next level of growth.
If you're the person who naturally sees what needs to be done, steps up without being asked, holds yourself and others accountable, and gets excited about building a high-performing team—we want to meet you.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is not a traditional Lead Dental Assistant position.
You will be the clinical team's day-to-day leader and a key bridge between the doctors, clinical team, and practice leadership.
You'll help make sure the clinical department doesn't just function—it performs at a high level.
You'll lead people.
You'll improve systems.
You'll monitor performance.
You'll protect the patient experience.
You'll help develop the next generation of clinical leaders.
And you'll have a direct role in helping Central Dentist scale.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Clinical Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and direct the clinical team on a daily basis.
- Establish clear expectations for performance, professionalism, communication, and patient care.
- Help create a culture of accountability, teamwork, gratitude, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a role model for the team and lead by example.
- Help onboard and train new clinical team members.
- Identify team strengths, performance gaps, and opportunities for development.
- Address problems early instead of allowing them to become larger problems.
Clinical Operations
- Keep the clinical department organized, efficient, and prepared.
- Ensure clinical rooms, instruments, supplies, technology, and workflows are consistently ready for patient care.
- Help optimize doctor/assistant workflows and clinical scheduling.
- Identify bottlenecks and create solutions.
- Maintain consistent clinical protocols and standards.
- Help ensure the team is using Central Dentist's technology and systems effectively.
KPI & Performance Management
You will be expected to understand that what gets measured gets improved.
You'll help monitor and improve key performance indicators such as:
- Clinical productivity
- Schedule utilization
- Production
- Case acceptance support
- Patient retention
- Patient experience
- Re-care/reactivation performance
- Appointment efficiency
- Same-day treatment opportunities
- Cancellation and no-show trends
- Clinical team performance
- Directing staff
- Supply/inventory management
- Training and team development
You don't need to be a data scientist.
But you do need to be comfortable looking at numbers, identifying trends, asking why, and taking action.
PATIENT EXPERIENCE MATTERS
At Central Dentist, dentistry is about more than teeth.
Our philosophy is centered around helping patients pursue healthier versions of themselves through comprehensive, personalized, root-cause-focused care.
Patients should feel heard, understood, educated, respected, and cared for.
The Clinical Operations Lead will help protect that experience at every touchpoint.
We want someone who understands that a technically excellent appointment can still be a poor patient experience if the communication, energy, organization, or follow-through isn't there.
WHO YOU ARE
You may be an experienced Lead Dental Assistant, Clinical Coordinator, Dental Assistant Manager, or someone who has already been functioning as the unofficial leader of a clinical team.
You might be thinking:
"I'm ready for more responsibility."
"I know how to lead people."
"I understand dentistry, but I also understand business."
"I want to be part of building something bigger."
If that sounds like you, keep reading.
YOU'LL PROBABLY THRIVE HERE IF YOU:
- Have strong dental/clinical experience.
- Have experience leading or mentoring other dental assistants or clinical team members.
- Naturally take ownership.
- Are highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Can hold people accountable while still treating them with respect.
- Communicate clearly and confidently.
- Are comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
- Can have difficult conversations when necessary.
- Think in systems rather than constantly putting out fires.
- Are comfortable with KPIs and performance metrics.
- Love learning and improving.
- Are technologically savvy and willing to embrace new systems.
- Have a genuine passion for patient care.
- Can operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Don't have an ego.
- Understand that leadership is about serving the team—not controlling it.
OUR CULTURE
Central Dentist is built on a few principles:
Eliminate Ego.
It's about the patient—not the provider, title, or individual ego.
Honesty & Gratitude.
We believe trust is built through clear communication and authentic care.
Innovation & Growth.
We want to keep pushing forward while creating opportunities for our people to learn and lead.
Our brand story describes Central Dentist as a destination clinic built around compassion, innovation, and unmatched expertise. We are also building toward an ambitious future of serving more patients while maintaining the level of care that makes our practice special.
THIS IS A GROWTH ROLE
We want someone who doesn't see this position as the ceiling.
We want someone who sees it as a launchpad.
As Central Dentist grows, there will be opportunities for people who consistently demonstrate leadership, ownership, performance, and the ability to develop others.
If your ultimate goal is to become a Clinical Manager, Clinical Director, Practice Operations Leader, or another senior leadership role, this could be an incredible opportunity to grow with us.
