Operations Manager – Amazon Delivery Partner (DSP)
Location: Springfield, VA

Distribution Logistics, LLC (DSTL) is a tenured Amazon Delivery Service Partner (Amazon DSP) specializing in small‑parcel, last‑mile delivery. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operations Manager to lead our team of professional delivery drivers in an exciting growth opportunity based in Springfield, VA. About the Role

As our Operations Manager, you will serve as the lead on-site representative responsible for upholding DSTL’s reputation for excellence in the safe, accurate, and reliable delivery of Amazon packages. You will communicate directly and professionally with Amazon station personnel to ensure all client expectations are met.

In this role, you will drive team performance by monitoring data‑driven metrics and making strategic, practical decisions that support the highest standards of safety, quality, attendance, and productivity. You will also develop, guide, and engage with our team of professional delivery drivers and dispatchers by providing the coaching tools necessary to consistently meet DSTL's performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Support, mentor, and motivate your team
Maintain and strengthen on‑site relationships with Amazon station leadership
Analyze performance metrics to drive team goals and develop coaching and/or disciplinary plans
Manage SAFETY, quality, productivity, and customer delivery commitments
Collaborate promptly with executive support teams - Safety, Human Resources, Accounting, and IT to exceed business objectives and resolve time-sensitive issues
Lift up to 75 pounds; stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours; frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach; and continuously climb and descend stairs
Work in an environment with variable noise levels, temperatures, and weather conditions (delivery stations may include outdoor loading areas and offsite vehicle parking)
Work a flexible non-traditional schedule (days, nights, weekends) on-site, and remain available to communicate as needed via email, text, or phone while routes are in operation

Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to analyze and interpret general business data, technical procedures, and safety regulations

Demonstrated knowledge of spreadsheet software (Excel) and word processing software, with the ability to learn new and proprietary systems; strong computer skills required
Ability to successfully engage, document, and lead individual and team discussions or meetings
Ability to apply all relevant policies consistently, objectively, and in a timely manner
Ability to work proactively and constructively with associates from other operating companies and the corporate office
Ability to consistently and fairly execute employee disciplinary actions, including formal coaching/documentation and terminations when necessary
Ability to manage the pressures and stressors of a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions that support company policies and procedures in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of experience managing a team of 70+ employees with diverse roles and skill levels, ideally in a dispatch or distribution environment
Knowledge of Amazon delivery operations or warehousing (a strong plus)
Experience scoping, leading, and implementing process improvements
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
Bachelor’s degree or relevant management experience in Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, etc., is strongly encouraged
Experience managing a contingent workforce during peak seasons
