Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as an Assistant Manager - Restaurant, where your leadership and passion for exceptional food service will drive success! In this energetic role, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, ensure top-notch customer experiences, and support your team to deliver outstanding culinary and hospitality standards. Your proactive approach will help create a lively, welcoming environment that keeps guests coming back. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your management skills within a vibrant food industry setting.

Duties

Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness
Supervise and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining high food safety standards
Manage shift scheduling, ensuring proper staffing levels for busy periods and special events
Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste
Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
Train new team members on food handling, safety procedures, and customer service expectations
Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety protocols, and sanitation standards across the kitchen and dining areas

Experience

Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a focus on team management and customer service excellence
Previous supervisory or assistant management roles within casual dining, fine dining, or catering settings
Hands-on experience with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly preferred
Strong background in food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety practices
Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through training, coaching, and performance management
Knowledge of inventory control, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and food cost management is advantageous
Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle managerial responsibilities such as interviewing staff and managing shift operations
