The Purpose of Your Role:

The Business Office Manager at Richland Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation is primarily responsible for directing the accounting and revenue functions of the facility. They are a key member of the team and help coordinate operations information across all the departments and teams at the facility.

An Opportunity to Excel:

The exceptional candidate will look outside the bounds of this position for other areas where they can help the facility succeed. The BOM role allows for many opportunities to learn broadly about operations in a post-acute care facility, and that create a lot of space for making an impact. In addition, Business Office roles are always great opportunities for those who are goal oriented to set bigger and bolder targets as they settle into the role.

We would love to see someone come in and build strong supporting relationships with their coworkers all while staying focused on maintaining a healthy bottom line for the facility. Please let us know if this is you!

Responsibilities:

Manages the facility’s accounting functions, as well as educating and advising the other departments on Medicare/Medicaid eligibility and insurance requirements.
Negotiates terms for provider agreements.
Prepares claims for skilled nursing services and engages in efforts to collect outstanding accounts receivables.
Manages resident trust funds.
Maintains all necessary internal controls and recordkeeping related to accounting functions.
Assist in running the daily operations meetings.

Education/Experience/Training:

High school diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field strongly preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in healthcare financial administration.
Must be able to maintain professional demeanor at all times and maintain strict safeguards and confidentiality of all relevant information.
Familiarity with managed care insurances such as Medicaid pending, Medicare billing, etc…
