Job description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our healthcare team in St. Louis. This role focuses on managing patients recovering from accidents in the specialties of orthopedics and neurology.

General Summary of Position
The NP/PA role includes examination, evaluation, assessment and interpretation of clinical data to provide care for patients with podiatric concerns and complex wound management. Professional practice is in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Interview patients for health history and perform physical examination
Order and evaluate appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests
Document H & P, progress notes, and treatment plans
Act as liaison between patients and physicians to coordinate recommended patient care as well as pre- and post-operative care
Caring for patients in both the clinic and hospital setting
Participate in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement meetings
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Missouri.
Certification from an accredited PA or NP program.
Experience in orthopedics, neurology, or urgent care preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
Orthopedic experience is a plus

Physical/Mental Requirements

Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, working with body bent over at waist, working in kneeling position, crawling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working with arms extended at shoulder length, lifting max. of 20 lbs.
