Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, with a passion for providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care in a comfortable and efficient environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas for patient procedures.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Manage patient records accurately, ensuring all medical histories and treatment plans are up-to-date.
Utilize dental systems such as Epic for managing patient information and appointments.
Provide education to patients regarding oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures with a focus on creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
Operate 3D scanners to assist in creating accurate dental impressions when required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office to comply with health regulations.

Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in dental assisting or related fields, with knowledge of:

Dental terminology and anatomy relevant to oral health.
Endodontics procedures and techniques.
Familiarity with medical records management systems, particularly Epic.
Experience assisting in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory.
Proficiency in using 3D scanners is an advantage but not required; training will be provided.
